Love the sunny days
Our sunny days seem to be a bit scarce so far this July. So much so that if the sun is out I need to be out. I really love summer so much and of course, I love painting summer scenes.
We go to the beach as often as we can, kick off our shoes and spread our chairs out facing the water. We slow down. Settle in. And engage in the most wonderful conversations while getting reacquainted with each other.
My most recent painting Seaside Chit Chat I think captures it so well. It’s just what we do. I can feel the warmth of the sun and the head of the sand in this one.

Dale and I are so excited for our show in Grand Manan. We have been working on this for the past been 18 months.

It’s been really, really busy preparing for two exhibitions this summer. Painting, cataloguing the work, wrapping and delivering. I’m always amazed at how fast time goes. Have to take more time savour the moment.
